Jo Nesbø is fast becoming one of my favourite authors and Harry Hole one of favourite detective protagonists. The Redeemer is #6 in the Harry Hole thrillers and the fourth in the Oslo sequence. The Redeemer was edgy, fast paced, layered and complex and is probably my favourite of the 6 books that I have devoured. With its shrewdly vertiginous narrative, acid-etched characters, and white-hot pace, The Redeemer is resounding proof of Jo Nesbø's standing as one of the best crime writers of our time.
